Lovely weekend!

We drove to Baden on Saturday to celebrate Rolf's father's (Hubi's) 75th birthday - we stayed at a guesthouse where the party was and there were about 30 people there, including the italian lot - Rolf's cousin Daniele, wife Ellen and boys Matteo and Mikki.  Lily had a ball and stayed up with us and finally went to bed at 11pm after being chased by the cousins for hours on end and laughing her sox off!

The weather has finally turned and we have a lot of rain - many of the roads have been flooded in Switzerland but at least the garden has got a good watering which means we don't have to get the hose out for a few days!

Today I took the girls to a free park and mini farm at Signal de Bougy - which is provided by Migros, the large supermarket chain and is right on top of a hill with the most spectacular views of the lake.  All the farm animals had just had their babies so we saw tiny, weeny goats, piglets and lambs which was great.  Lily went mad and didn't want to come home!

When we did eventually get home, Rolf had cooked a local dish from the Vaud region, where we are now living - a kind of red sausage on leeks and potatoes (cooked all together in white wine) - delicious - so if you are coming to stay, we can cook it for you too!

Off to the doctor tomorrow with a very wheezy chest which I think might be an allergy to all this country stuff!
