Funny coincidences

We had a lovely day yesterday, just hanging out by the pool in Aubonne and preparing supper for our first dinner guests!  The lovely lady I met through church - Rosi and her husband Tris came for supper and we had a great evening.  Turns out she is 40 the day before me!  They've bought a house in a nearby village and will be moving in around mid August.  He works for an NGO in Geneva and they've spent many years doing Christian aid work in the Sudan and working for an operation called Med Air, based in Lausanne.

Rolf cooked a cream of pea soup and a new chicken dish and I did my favourite pudding of the moment - brandied apricots in amaretti cream - with gorgeous apricots from Switzerland!

Today we're going to have a wander around Montreux and do a bit of sightseeing.  And this afternoon, Chris Howell and his wife and 4 month old baby are coming for tea - he had just moved over with Cadbury and they arrived on Friday and are living in Aubonne...
