Vendanges

Walking through the vineyards is spectacular at this time of year.  The leaves have turned golden and families are out picking their grapes and preparing everything for winemaking.  There are parties every weekend in the villages - fondues and wine and a bit of a jig!

We picked up my father's cousin Will from the station today with his son Jussi - they're over from Canada and the UK on a trip to the transport museum in Lucerne which is famous and meant to be amazing if you're into transport.... we had lunch and a good catch up before taking them back to Morges to catch their next train.

Had a lovely catch up with my old boss Claire tonight and with Allie who is over in the UK from South Africa and will hopefully be out visiting us in the next few weeks for a week or so, can't wait.

My in-laws arrive for a couple of days on Wednesday and mum arrives for a week on Thursday.

We're really looking forward to our au pair arriving on 1st November - Fran - she's coming from London for 9 months so that will be great for us and hopefully great for her too.
