Busy days....

We had a great holiday in Majorca - Lily loved her time at the beach and in the sea and Pia learnt to sit up on her own and giggled all the time.  The mosquitoes were really bad this year and we got bitten all over so Rolf had the fly swat out all the time and was constantly jumping around and swatting the wall...

Lily started nursery last week - two mornings a week at 'Bambi' in a village up the road called 'Apples' - a lovely little French place with about 15 children - she was over excited about the whole thing, didn't cry once and couldn't stop talking about it in the car on the way home.  A little girl bit her, she was mean to some girls who wanted to play in 'her' kitchen, they had a funny ribena drink she didn't like, she didn't do a wee, there was a big spider and the teacher had to get rid of it.......... and then on Thursday mornings she goes to 'Rikiko' in Lavigny, just up the road, - its a creative exploration place, run by actresses and looks fantastic fun - a labyrinth of cubby holes to hide in, rooms to explore and games and toys - its 3 hours every week and she thought that was just great.

Mum has been here for a week and goes back tomorrow - she hasn't seen our fabulous view of Mont Blanc from the village once - we've had some nice warm weather but its been cloudy - shame, its such a great view.  She joined us at the village party on Sunday where the 'commune' (local council) supplied the meat and we supplied the salads - it was a fantastic pork and mushroom dish and you would have been proud to have served it at your wedding - I can't quite imagine Wandsworth council doing anything similar!!

Rolf flies to London for the day tomorrow and next weekend is a bank holiday so we're thinking of what we can do.....
