We spent the morning at Winnie's house in the nearby village of Lully - she has 4 children and home schools them! They arrived from Hungary a few months ago but originate from Pretoria. Lily loved running around with the girls and playing chase in the garden, discovering slugs and snails and spiders and doing some pretend ironing with a little pink iron.
I sat out for 15 minutes at lunchtime when the girls were asleep and came in with a very red chest and face - I've got a good tan from just sitting out for a few minutes each day but today the sun must have been very fierce and I forgot my lotion...
This afternoon we pootled up to the farm to get some freshly baked bread and cheeses for the weekend when Susi arrives. It's such a sweet place where you can stay overnight in the hay barn - lots of animals everywhere and Lily thinks it is great - personally, I'd like to buy the place because it has the most stunning views over the lake and mountains!
Our neighbours daughter, Nathalie, popped around before the girls went to bed so that she could get to know Lily a bit before she starts some babysitting for us - Lily was a bit shy at first but before I could blink, she was showing her her toy mobile phone and taking her up to her bedroom!
Then I had a long chat with David, had some supper and now am writing this before I head down to the wash room to attack a pile of ironing - extraordinary thing, but I quite like doing it....
We had a text from Mat and Mel today who are coming over to France next week and we are trying to see if we can meet them for lunch on Friday as Rolf has a day off as part of Cadbury's summer hours.....

All I can say is you look to be having so much fun and sorry to hear that it's not just good old blighty that has been suffering with the rain. I hope Lilly's first day at Nursery went OK and that you have a fun time with your mum.
We had a fantastic time away in Poole - lots of laughs, a few tears, too much drinking but very little gossip - sorry!! Catch up next week. Clairexx@
