We visited a nursery in the next door village of Apples this afternoon. The road climbs up high behind our village and the views over the lake and the mountains are spectacular - I have to say, the views every time I get in the car and drive are just the best ever. I think the car park at the local supermarket has the best views of all supermarket car parks in the world - Mont Blanc and the lake!
The nursery is run by a lady in our village who we met at the village fete on our first day! She is absolutely lovely with the little ones and we really like the nursery so Lily will go two mornings a week from September - Tuesdays and Fridays from 8.45am for 3 hours, just perfect and only a 5 minute drive. We are very lucky to get a place - it was the last one and childcare/nurseries are very difficult to get places in as there are very few of them for some reason.
Tomorrow is market day and second hand car buying day, then Rolf goes to Russia for most of next week and his parents are coming up to stay for a few nights which will be great company (especially as I have discovered that my French is really quite rubbish - I need to start my lessons soon).
No idea what's happening at Wimbledon - have only watched Dumbo and the Rescuers so far! Our phone is now installed so you can ring us if you fancy!
