Back from holiday and it's snowing!

We've come from 35 degrees to minus 4 and snowing!  What a lovely holiday, great weather, great location and a good rest for all of us.  The girls were really good on the very long flight from here to London and then on to Mauritius.

Our house was right on the beach - quite a wild beach and the island is surrounded by a coral reef and so we were swimming in a kind of lagoon.

We ate gorgeous, juicy pineapples for breakfast enjoyed some Mauritian curries, cooked by Ravi's wife (the local cab driver and general Mr Fix It) for supper.  We swam in the pool as well as the sea and generally just 'hung out'.

Cooke arrived after our first week and that was a real treat to be able to spend so much time with such a dear friend.

Still a bit jet lagged and waking at 4am but a nice weekend  to get back to normal!
